Taylor's 1st day of Kindergarten

I was so excited for Taylor this morning. She was so excited to go to school. We got ready ate breakfast and left for school. She was all excited! As soon as we got to the school....BAM! She didn't want a thing to do with Kindergarten. She begged me to take her home and try again next year. It took about 15 minutes for me to get her in there then I turned and walked out of the room. Of course I stayed outside the door for a few minutes to make sure she was okay and she was! When I picked her up she was so happy. She said I love school I can't wait to come back tomorrow. Taylor said now I know what kindergarten is like and I love it!!!!! I'm so excited for her. She's so smart already, I can't wait to see how she progresses this school year!

Frist Day of 2nd grade!

Karson just started the 2nd grade! Wow, time sure flies! I'm so excited for him to grow and learn throughout his years. It was a pretty hard day for me. I wanted to walk him to class give him a big kiss and take pictures every step of the way. But...He wanted to do it himself. (sniff, sniff) I'm super impressed with his ability to do things independently. Karson has a lot of confidence in himself. I follow in that way of thinking, but it's still a little hard! I am so proud of Karson, what an honor it is for me of all people to be his mother! I love you Karson!

Taylor's 1st Tooth

Taylor lost her first tooth last week! It was so loose but she was a little scared for any of us to pull it out. Her and Karson walked outside and about 20 seconds later I hear screaming and the kids running in the garage. I opened the door to see what was going on and to my surprise they were smiling and Tay was saying...Mommy, Mommy my 'toof' came out! She was so proud. She called all her grandma's to tell them of her accomplishment!

Gma Hamilton passed away in May 2009. I didn't know her all that well. But from what I did know...She had some spunk to her. She wasn't the sit by kind of lady. She told you what she thought! She always had some funny story to tell. She liked to start her stories with...I remember when! Then it would be some story about Jo growing up or how she gave the 20 year old a ride home from Walmart! I swallowed hard on that one than swore me to secrecy! What a crack up! I'm thankful to have spent the little time that I did to know her.

Our annual Camberlango trip to Canyonlands is something we all look forward to each year. What a beautiful place to be. We've got a mini village there. With everyones trailers and our home made street light that gpa and Vince made, make it very comfortable. We love to go on hikes on the red rocks and ride around on the 4 wheelers and motorcycles.

Jason and I had a little movie night all planned out with each other. Then the call came in...It was Mike asking if Jason wants his Jazz tickets. So Jason and Karson ended up going to the jazz game. Taylor and I couldn't just stay home so we decided to go to Winger's for dinner. While we were at the mall Taylor decided she wanted to see Santa and ride the train. Taylor and I were coloring at the restaurant while we were waiting for the meal to come and my crayon broke. Taylor almost fell off her chair. I'm not sure why but she thought that was so funny!!! I enjoyed every second of my date with Taylor. Jason sent me a picture of Karson from his cell phone at the game eating his most favorite thing...popcorn. He had a good time with his daddy.

Thanksgiving was WONDERFUL!!! I love my family so much, they mean the world to me! It was sad not having Jason there with us this year. He was working for most of Thanksgiving day. We ate played games and visited. The guys worked on an engine a lot of the time, but they got it done!!! Good Job guys!!!

Halloween....What a busy day! I took Taylor to school then came back home and went straight over to Tausha's house to cut up potatoes and get ready for the Halloween snack party after school. Left there to run home get on my costume and head to the school where we were doing the 1st grade class party! It was so much fun! We played Bingo, read scary stories, made bracelets and grave yard pudding cups. Then went back over to Tausha's where we had about 50 people or so coming over for a quick snack before we headed out trick or treating. The get together turned out to be such a fun time! Then we left for trick-or-treating!!

Taylor and I got to go with Karson his 1st grade field trip to Hee Haw Farms. I didn't have my camera....It's still in the shop getting fixed! My friend Amy whose son is Karsons friend and in his class snapped a few pictures for me! I hate being without my camera it's so frustrating. The kids had so much fun looking at all the animals and playing around. I love being able to attend the field trips with Karson. I'm even more glad he wants me there!!!

Yeah Kristi for bring a camera....I don't know what my problem is??? I always have my camera! Kayden was baptized this month. All my family except Bri's family was able to go down for the baptism. I just got the pictures from Taylor's birthday party with my side of the family. I'd forgot to bring my camera!!! Plus my camera stopped taking pictures so it's in the repair shop and I'm going through blogger withdrawals!!! So I just may start blogging old stuff !!!

We have so many birthdays that fall in the last part of the year that so many kids were getting birthday presents and Sadie was feeling a little left out since her birthday is in May!! Her Daddy gave her some money. She comes to show me and I started playing 'That's mine' game with her. She got do mad she punched me!!! It was the funniest thing ever!! She's such a little fire cracker!

I love that all the boys are playing Dominos and the girls are playing school!

Taylor looked so cute in her knee high socks I had to post pictures. Taylor is getting so big and has such a demanding yet sweet personality. I just love her so much! She loves to learn! She loves me (or anyone) to read to her. She's started to learn to read at school. She's doing awesome and it seems to come so easy for her! I love how eggar she is to learn! I'm excited to see how she progresses! Karson amazes me also...He is so good at writing stories and drawing pictures to go with them. He loves journal time at school. I love going into his classroom and looking in his desk at all his school books. His journal is all about him and his dad! He loves Jason so much. All the one on one time they spend together is so important to him. Even if it's just a few minutes it impacts him enough to write it in his journal the next day at school. I'm wondering what I need to do to get a page in his journal. LOL

We went to David and Jo's for dinner and cheese cake to celebrate Jason birthday. We gave Jason a trolling motor for his boat. I think he was way excited. Jason has been wanting a trolling motor for a while so him and Karson can go fishing more on the boat.

The next day we went to Mike and Cathy's for dinner and German chocolate cake. Jason's a little spoiled with all special cakes and treats! Kristi made him some gram cracker cookie and our friend Tausha made him a plate of these chocolaty moose brownies. It was all so yummy! Happy 35th birthday to my handsome old man who's getting better with age! I love you!!!!

I took the kids up to go swimming at Nana and Papa Benson's the other day. They have been dying to swim. The hot tub has a power jet that the kids love. They sit in front of it then someone turns it on and it totally pushes them up and away! They laugh and laugh!

It was such a nice day I wanted them to play outside so they brought out the 'Littlest Pet Shop' and we laid out the rug and set up a table and the girls played together for a while. Friends Party

Taylor had her friends party today with all her friends from Pretty much just our block! We have so many girls close by it's so fun for Taylor.
We had 16 girls counting Taylor. The other 2 girls came after the big pictures was taken.

I started this cake at 10:30 and did not finish it until 1pm. I did not have a plan or outline when I started decorating it. It just kind of became this cake! But I was happy with the way it turned out.
Happy Birthday Taylor! I can not believe my BABY is 5 years old. It seems like yesterday Dad, Nanny and I were waiting in the hospital for you to be born! You were the first 'Girl' on both sides of the family so we were all so anxious for you to arrive! You were beautiful then and you're beautiful now. You make our family special. I love you and so does Daddy and Karson! Happy Birthday Taylor!

Taylor wanted Taco Salad for her 'Birthday Dinner'
Karson became our official candle lighter!
We each decorated our own cake that evening. This was Taylor's mater piece she decorated by herself.
She got so excited over a long sleeved white plain shirt...She's so sweet!
Taylor finally got her dance mat. We get It hooked up and it's so hard I can't do it....So back to Toy-r-us it goes. I'll find her a better one that's a little easier.

How terrible am I??? There was no way I was making a million birthday cakes this year for each party so I got donuts!!!! But boy oh boy were they tasty!!! The kids loved them!

Taylor and little JoJo are the flower girls for Jason's brother Justin's wedding. We took them to the mall to try on the dresses that (soon to be) Aunt Courtney picked for them to wear in the wedding!

Grandma Hamilton

This is Jason's Grandma and Karson and Taylor's Grandma Great! Those are a bunch of her great grand kids. It's really cute...Karson and Taylor have 3 Grandma Greats that are still living today. When Taylor talks about Grandma Hamilton she refers to her as "The Gma Great that doesn't bite" Like all the others do bite???? It's so cute. It comes from a time when we were at Dave and Jo's and I said Taylor there's Gma Great and Taylor was being shy. (I know, Taylor...Shy????) Gma Great says "I won't bite ya!" So there ya go! That sticks in Taylor's head.

KING KARSON!!!

Karson was King of the Day a few weeks ago at school. He got to wear this crown I made for him and do special stuff at school. When I picked him up from school he took off his crown and handed it to me as he put his bike helmet on.
His crown was soft, warm and damp! He'd sweat in it all day! How funny is that!!!

Family Night

I'm not sure how this happened but I don't have one pictures of Jason. I promise he was there. We changed Family Night this week to Tuesday due to Jason's services were needed on Monday night by a neighbor who was moving. Me and my big babies! :( They are getting so big so fast. I can barley stand it.
The kids decorated their own pizzas and topped them with whatever they wanted to. We all had fun doing this. Karson and Taylor took their time to make the perfect pizza.

After dinner we played games. Karson and Taylor started to wrestle. Taylor was laughing so hard. Karson's so cute with her. He try's to be gentle with her.

School Lunch...

I went to lunch at Karson's school with Amy and Tausha (Friends) and our kids that aren't in school. Karson was so excited to have us there. He introduced me to his Friends. I was so excited that he was excited. I thought he might be a little embarrassed.

We have some new neighbor's that moved into the house next door. They have two girls that are I think 5 on 3. Perfect for Taylor and sweet sweet little girls. They love to play Polly Pockets out on the front sidewalk Bet you can guess who lined all the dolls up????..........She takes after her Daddy, that's for sure!

Labor Day at Riverside

Our tradition each year on Labor Day is to go to the Riverside's Carnival Day. It's was hailing so bad that morning we thought we'd be weathered out but luck for us the weather changed and we were able to go.

Hobble Creek Canyon

We went up Hobble Creek Canyon just for fun. We walked around on the trails and had a good time together.

We walked across the Beaver Dam to the other side. As we walked Jason noticed all these baggies everywhere filled with white power. We tripped out a little on it. We have no clue what it was but they were everywhere. We saw this cow pie on the ground with the white powder all over it. Karson says "Mom that looks like you and Nanny's brownie's" We sprinkle them with powder sugar! So of course I said I've gotta have a picture that is definitely blog worthy

We brought Karson's BB gun up to let him shoot. He's so dang cute with it. He wanted to shoot a cow and a wasps nest and a fish and and and....I can't wait til he can go Deer hunting with Jason. He'll be the best little hunter ever!

Jason's Fishing Trip to Flaming Gorge with his nephew Holden and both his Dad's David and Mike. They stayed in Manila with Mike's brother Brent. Brent and the guy, Joe whose house they stayed in for the weekend would take them out on the boats for early morning fishing. Then they'd come home and bottle the fish...Yes I said bottle the fish. It looks just like it sounds...sick! But the love it and so do my kids! I'm glad Jason gets to go on those 'fun' trips. Holden (nephew) is off to College with a partial scholarship to play basketball! How awesome is that! He just towers over Jason and Becky (Jason's cousin). Mike was the picture taker of the trip so unfortunately there is no pictures of him.

Daddy Dates!

Jason took Taylor out on a date. They went to feed the duck and spend time together just the two of them. Jason's such a cute Daddy. He's got a huge soft spot for his little miss...It's pretty hard not too! Taylor wanted Jason to take pics of her in the tree. Jason said she just kept posing and posing!

Every girl should have special dates with Daddy. Growing up I remember having those with my Dad. One of my many fond memories about my childhood includes my dad and our Daddy Daughter Date in Young Women's. We dressed up in 50's outfits. I remember my Dad looking very similar to a T-Bird. I thought he was amazing to play the part so well. I wish I had a picture to post. I know there is one somewhere! I was all decked out in my pink poodle skirt that my mom made for me. What a fun and special night for me.

First Day of School

Summer Ended Today.....The kids are back to schoolKarson started 1st grade this morning. I couldn't be more sad and happy all at the same time. This means Karson goes to school all day long 8:30-2:45. I'm not really ready to let him go yet. This is hard for me. I guess it just means my little guy is growing up! It's just happening to quickly. Karson's such a stud and has taught Jason and I so much that we are also way excited to see what else we can learn from him.
Karson sits next to one of his best friends. (The teacher already had it this way) I'm pretty sure she'll be changing that seating arrangement real soon!

This is Taylor's last year in preschool. So glad it's not everyday Kindergarten! She'll keep me busy at home reading and playing with her. She always says "Read with your child 15 minutes a day" She got that off of a TV commercial.....See TV is a great learning tool! lol
Taylor is in the same class with My Brother Bri's son BO! Taylor is so glad to already have a friend that she knows and loves.
Taylor sits right down to start her work.

I can't believe she'll be 5 in 5 weeks......That's my baby! :-(

Little Miss

Taylor had just gotten bathed and ready for bed. The kids both have a big tomorrow. Karson starts 1st grade and Taylor goes to preschool 3 days a week. But instead of getting right in bed Taylor had another idea...She decided to model her PJ's and asked me to take a picture of her. She's such a cutie. She did several different poses but this is the one she liked best.

Karson, Taylor and their cousin's Cooper and Hailee had a drinks and snacks stand at the park. It was a real slow start as we were the ONLY people at the park. But slowly kids came to the stand. Uncle Mike also came by for a nice cold cup of Kool-aid. Thanks for the support Mike! The kids were had a great time.

Poor Taylor was playing on the play ground and got stung by a stupid wasp! I hate those things my poor kids seem to always be the ones that get stung!
